  • Hope for Africa (HFA) has “A Convention de Partenariat” (Partnership Agreement) with the capital city of Porto-Novo, Republic of Bénin, to facilitate and oversee the construction of 600 low and moderate income residence in the Department of Oueme
  • HFA has an “Arrete” (Convention de Partenariat) with the city of Adjohoun, Department of Oueme and Plateau, Republic of Bénin to reconstruct a hospital and open a factory for the bottling of water from a series of natural mineral springs located in the area.
  • HFA awards “Academic Excellence Scholarships” annually to ten students from the University of Abomey-Calavi in the Republic of Bénin, in collaboration with a student nongovernmental organization (NGO) called Benin Espoir.
  • HFA is providing mosquito nets to the village of Ganvie, Benin, a village on stilts totally above water where malaria is killing children by the hundreds. HFA’s mission is to outfit every bed in the area with a mosquito net within the next five years
  • HFA is funding the education of a young medical student from the village of Ganvie. The aim is to help prepare him to return to the village to open a clinc that will focus on state of the arts health care and build community awareness around malaria prevention.

  • HFA offers English courses to local students in the Adjarra area of Bénin.
  • In 2007, HFA funded a women’s group in Porto-Novo, Benin to acquire national identity cards for local merchant women so that they can apply for micro-financing to upgrade their economic conditions
  • HFA is currently in partnership with a local family organization in Seme, Bénin to develop eighty-five acres of beach front property. Part of the agreement calls for implementation of dredging and other activities to halt soil erosion, a problem threatening the environment of the area.
  • HFA has purchased 40 acres of land in Kwesi Nyarko, Ghana, to build an eco-village with farming technology and other support to local villagers.
  • HFA has a Water well drilling project targeted for Dassnguroo, Senegal, which would provide sanitary drinking water to several villages in the area and eliminate some of the health issues impacting the inhabitants, as well as enhance the agricultural infrastructure of village.
  • HFA Provided athletic equipment for the “Hope For Africa Youth Team” in Kwesi Nyarko, Ghana in 2008
  • HFA sponsors ongoing “African Motherland” Educational and Cultural Enrichment travel/study tours to West Africa for college students, educators, other professionals, and families to provide cross-cultural exchanges and mutual understanding between American and West African people.
